      • Your private licensed guide will meet you directly at Pompeii’s entrance and leave you after the guided portion
      • An English-speaking driver will accompany you throughout the day and take you to Mt. Vesuvius and back
      • Some areas may occasionally be closed due to events or maintenance. The guides will adjust the itinerary to ensure a great experience.

      • The hike to the Vesuvius crater is approximately 1 mile (1.5 kilometers) long and it typically takes around 30 minutes to reach the summit.
      What to bring
        • Wear sturdy shoes — both Pompeii and Vesuvius involve uneven paths
        • Bring sun protection such as a hat and sunscreen -  there’s little shade at Pompeii ruins and on Mount Vesuvius
        • In winter, temperatures on Mount Vesuvius can be colder than at sea level. Dress warmly, in layers, and wear a jacket to stay comfortable
